Sustainable States Annual Meeting 2026
Ann Arbor, Michigan |June 1 through June 3
Every year, the Sustainable States Network hosts an in-person meeting for members to connect and learn together, led and put on by one of the member programs. We are excited to announce that this year’s Annual Meeting is hosted by Michigan Green Communities in Ann Arbor, Michigan, from Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, June 3.
✨2026 Conference Highlights
Welcome reception on Monday, June 1, sponsored by Resource Recycling System
National experts in climate, energy, environmental justice, and adaptation
And hopefully...you!
🪻Optional Wednesday Walking Tour
After the end of programming on Wednesday, we’ll be taking a trip over to the Nichols Arboretum. We’ll have a brief guided tour for you to join before you have time to roam on your own. Or you’re welcome to head straight to whatever piece of nature calls to you—the meadows, magnolia glade, bog, peony garden, arboretum, and more.
🌦️The Weather
As walking will be our primary mode of transportation from the conference venue to your hotel, the reception, dinner, etc., we recommend double checking the weather before you attend! It’s been a very wet and unusually warm spring so far here. Our crystal ball tells us it’ll be in the mid-to- upper 70s and possibly a bit humid.
💚Thank you, sponsors!
And lastly, a huge “THANK YOU” to our sponsors at the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy; the Michigan Economic Development Corporation; Sustainable Maryland; and Resource Recycling Systems!
